SITA- Warrior of Mithila

This is how I could portray SITA after reading the book (But this was not how I was taught all these years).

Sunaina and King Janak were on a spiritual trip to get blessings from Kanyakumari and on the way back, they discover a child along the banks of Ganga and named her Sita (child of earth).

Sunaina rised Sita to be well-informed and independent individual. After Sunanina passed away, it was Sita who took care of Urmila her sister.

There came a point, when she had to take over the administration of Mithila because, Janak was really interested in knowledge building and not in administration of Mithila.

Sita had Samichi, a most trusted chief of police who took care of Mithila while Sita was away.

Sita was educated by Guru Vishwamitra and he wanted her to be the next Vishnu. Vishnu is an avatar of God/Goddess who fights against evilness. Guru Vishwamitra chose Sita to be the next Vishnu and Guru Vashishta chose Ram to be the next Vishnu. But Sita, had a whole another plan.

When Sita's Swayamvar was planned, Ram was tricked by Guru Vishwamitra to be present in Mithila while Swayamvar happens.

On knowing Ram's presence, Sita decided that Ram was her husband.

Usually it will be portrayed like Ram won Sita and married her, but it is the inverse, Sita chose Ram and offered help to win the Swayamvar.

But Ram being epitome of rules, denied the help and won the Swayamvar and married Sita.

Raavan was invited to the Swayamvar by Sita's uncle, but he was not allowed to participate by the crowd of Swayamvar. This made Raavan to go into the war with Mithila where Ram was again tricked by Vishwamitra to fire the Asuraastra.

This resulted in excile of Ram, Sita and Lakshman for 14 years.

When Raavan was at the camp to abduct Sita, she fought like a warrior to save the soldiers who tried to save her.

It was in the Pushpak Vimaan, that Raavan and Kumbakarnan saw Sita for the first time and they were very shocked on the looks of her.

Who is she to Raavan?
